The woman said that after the incident, the cricketer contacted her and apologized for his behavior. He also offered money to suppress the matter. However, she rejected the offer.
After that, the woman tried to complain about the cricketer to the police several times, and also showed evidence. But no action was taken.It is also said in the same report that this is not the first allegation against this cricketer. Four similar cases have come to light before this. In one, the police even took action and also recorded the statement of the woman who made the allegation. But nothing happened beyond that.
The same website published another report two days later. The new report said that after the first report, many more women contacted them and shared cases of rape and sexual harassment against the same cricketer. This report revealed cases of rape and sexual harassment against at least 11 women.
The West Indies Association did not give a statement.
West Indies cricket has not given any official statement in this regard. However, the report claimed that the local association had informed the board officials about the matter. They are reviewing all the allegations.
